The main task of the reconstruction and revitalization of the historic station building in Mariánské lázně was a station rebuilding in accordance with the latest technical development of rail operational facilities, what led to a smaller space requirements, optimizing and use of acquired space for commercial purposes. It was a complete reconstruction of the whole premises from the 19th and 20th centuries.

Restoring of the subject design was consistently based on tracing archival documentation, the missing elements (eg.  Awnings) were completed with contrasting new forms. This investment generated a positive response from municipality, which decided in response to this action to revitalize the entire area in front of the station - significant  interchange railway node between the connecting traffic (public transport and buses) and rail. At the same time the rail line Plana - Cheb optimisation took place.
