17 December 2003
České dráhy and Grandi Stazioni concluded 3 contracts, for the duration of 30 years from the completion of the construction works, on the revitalization, management and operation of the Prague Main Railway Station, as well as for the Mariánské Lázně and Karlovy Vary Railway Stations. Such an undertaking represents the pilot foreign project of the Italian company, which intends to invest 1.15 billion CZK approximately (47 million € approximately) in the Czech Republic.

2004 – 2006
Grandi Stazioni realized the entire design process based on the new concept of a railway station (no longer as transient places without a soul, but rather as service centres established to satisfy every anticipated need and desire of the passenger) and the related architectural plans of Patrik Kotas. Moreover, Grandi Stazioni arranged for all relevant planning and construction approvals, including Building Permits. One of the main focuses was on security and intelligent navigation systems located inside the Railway Stations, as well as barrier-free spaces.
